FAIR FAMILY FUN – YOU ARE INVITED!

Let’s make it 100 skaters again! Rain or Shine.

What: The FAIR on Ice party takes place at the Winter Lodge in Palo Alto. Join other FAIR families for a wonderful evening at this cozy outdoor rink. FAIR HAS EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE RINK AND BARBEQUE AREA.  Non-skaters are welcome to watch, encourage and chat. Please invite extended family members and friends. Waiting parents are welcome. Teens are encouraged to come. Strollers and wheelchairs glide beautifully on the ice. There is a covered area in case of rain. See you there!

Where: Winter Lodge, 3009 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto

What to bring: A simple dinner for your family: sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, etc. Gas barbeques and picnic tables will be ready. There is a Safeway with a deli and a Round Table pizza very close to the rink. FAIR will provide hot chocolate, cups, plates, utensils, mustard, ketchup and relish. No alcohol please.

What to expect: Fun, good company, a great time! This is one of our most popular events, definitely worth a drive. Since FAIR has the whole rink, it will be a relaxed, comfortable evening for all. Del Valle campers, Understanding Our Stories families – reunite on the ice!

Cost: $10.00 per skater, collected for the Winter Lodge at the door. Cash or checks made out to Winter Lodge. This included skate rental even if you own skates. FAIR subsidizes this event to make it affordable for all. No RSVP necessary. Just come!

FAIR on Ice

5:30 - 7:30 pm at the Winter Lodge in Palo Alto.

FAIR would like to pass along information about events by email rather than using a paper calendar mailed to Bay Area members. Lately we have been encouraging the use of our on-line google calendar, which can be updated easily. We would also like to create an email group so that a Board member can send out updates to those who would like to receive information about FAIR events and also other educational opportunities offered in the area. If you would like to receive calendars and announcements via email, please contact Board Member Robin McCloskey at  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Thanks to Board Member Amy Klatzkin, FAIR now has a Facebook page! We hope to enable our members to reach one another and also to allow others in the Bay Area to find FAIR. Please send feedback and suggestions to Amy at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

FAIR is always looking for people willing to help with our all- volunteer organization. If you are willing to help plan and carry out any of FAIR’s work please consider joining the Board. It’s a great way to connect with other adoptive parents. Contact Wilma Chu, This email address is being protected from spambots. Monthly FAIR Groups

Please see the Google Calendar below for exact dates.

There is no fee for FAIR’s regular support and networking groups. FAIR membership is highly recommended, however.
