Colorado Heritage Camps  www.heritagecamps.org  A post-adoption resource that facilitates annual heritage camps, which provide culturally relevant and family-centered experiences for every member of the family. Camps, representing a variety of cultures, are held each summer.

ComeUnity www.comeunity.com  Specializes in books for parenting, adoption and special needs.

EMK Press www.emkpress.com  A publisher of adoption themed books and materials.

Families for Russian and Ukrainian Adoption (FRUA) www.frua.org/norcal  Northern California Chapter of a national, non-profit support network for adoptive families with children from the former Soviet Union and neighboring countries.

Homes for Kids  www.homes4kids.org Advocates for children, adoptive families and ethical, compassionate adoption practices.

Korean American Adoptee Adoptive Family Network (KAAN) www.kaanet.com  KAAN links Korean adoptive families and adoptees, the Korean American community, and the Korean government to promote awareness of Korean adoption issues, resource sharing, information, and program development.

International Adoption Alliance http://www.i-a-a.org/  A non-profit organization with resources and information for transcultural and transracial adoptive families.

International Adoption Clinic www.internationaladoptionclinic.org Supports families with medical and developmental neuropsychological reviews for preadoption, postadoption and while abroad.

List of Adoption Lists  http://www.comeunity.com/adoption/listservs.html An up-to-date list of adoption mailing lists which provide discussion, support and information for adoptive families with clear information on how to join and what to expect on each list. Lists on special needs are also available.

NACAC  http://www.nacac.org  FAIR is a parent group member of NACAC. You will find solid information on all aspects of adoption from the foster care system on this site.

National Adoption Center www.adopt.org The National Adoption Center expands adoption opportunities for children living in foster care throughout the United States, and is a resource to families and to agencies who seek the permanency of caring homes for children.

National Adoption Information Clearinghouse http://naic.acf.hhs.gov/ A comprehensive resource on all aspects of adoption, including infant, intercountry, and special needs adoption.

Pact's online book store  http://www.pactadopt.org/store/page1.html  This site features recommended book lists by age. It specializes in books for families with children of color.

Parents Helping Parents www.php.com - support groups, training and other resources for people with special needs and their families

Perspectives Press  www.perspectivespress.com This is a good website for adoption books and articles which can be downloaded.  Pat Johnston, the editor of Perspectives Press, is an adoptive parent and long-time friend of FAIR.  Her National Adoption Month page is wonderful.

Practical Attachment http://home.att.net/~PracticalAttachment/ This site, developed by FAIR member Teri Doolittle, contains a wealth of positive, practical information for anyone who has adopted a child from an institutional setting - or is thinking about this kind of adoption. 

Santa Clara County Adoptions http://www.SantaClaraAdoption.org/ Features information about their waiting children and forms for post adoption services.

Santa Clara County Foster and Adoptive Parent Association www.sccfapa.org  A community of adoptive parents in Santa Clara County offering trainings, a resource center, adoption support groups, and family events.
